game highlights

A very close game. Angels started off well with 6 runs in the top of the 1st, but Tigers found holes in the defence and responded with 7 of their own in the 2nd to take a 10-7 lead. Defences then tightened up on both sides with the odd run scoring here and there, the score after 5 innings was tied at 10 apiece. Highlights were running catches by both LFs (Tom and Paul), and the Tigers RC fielder hoovered up mostly everything in the air (1 of which this writer is particularly bitter about…) Tim also had more put-outs than my scoresheet could tally, and both teams were throwing out runners trying to advance with relays from the outfield. In the end the Angels benefited from 2 timely HRs in the final innings to close it out with the potential tying run stranded in the on-deck circle.
