It was a good fun, exciting game with the lead changing hands a couple of times, some big hits, home runs and great outfield catches, particularly from Alex and Kathleen of the Tigers.

MavericksBoth teams performed well defensively, especially the combination of Kathleen McCallen and Adora Jones at shortstop and third base for the Tigers. Rounding off the solid infield play by the Tigers was Matt Whittle at first base. For the Beavers, third baseman Alejandro Dodero connected with Abi Winnett for a number of outs. It looked like the Tigers were running away with scoreline until the Beavers’ Irvin Tapia hit a grand slam to bring the score closer.

@ MavericksThere were a number of great defensive plays including a diving catch by Alex Tebb at shortstop and a snag in the hole between left and left centre field by Jacob Stevens (both Spirits). Solid play at second base from the Spirits Anna Wareing led to MVP honours. For the Oddsox, first baseman Martin Dayman pulled down quite a few throws to grab the outs. Offensively, both teams scored big hits with the Oddsox’s Rachel Monteiro recording her first homerun of the season.
