Oxford Softball Association presents ‘Dino Ball’
Oxford Softball presents ‘Dino Ball’ – a one-day tournament aimed at Rec and Lower Rec grade teams.
We’re currently taking registrations of interest for the Oxford Softball Association ‘Dino Ball’ one day slowpitch softball tournament. This tournament is aimed at Rec and Lower Rec grade teams and we’re aiming have 16 teams. Please complete the registration of interest form below and we’ll email you when the tournament entry opens.
At last year’s tournament the rain got the better of us. Sadly, we had to abandon the full day of games and resort to a few games for the smaller number of teams who bravely stayed and carried on until the sun finally arrived later in the afternoon. So, for 2025, we’re carrying over the trophies from last year and invite you to register your interest for ‘Dino Ball’.
We’re celebrating the 200th anniversary (in 2024) of the naming of the ‘Megalosaurus’ first discovered in the Oxfordshire village of Stonesfield. A replica of the Megalosaurus jaw bone that was found can be seen in the Museum of Natural History in Oxford, along with many other dinosaur skeletons and a Dodo!
